Lee Company & the Williamson County, TN Special Olympics Golf Tournament
It was great to be back in the swing of things at this year’s annual golf tournament benefiting Special Olympics Williamson County (SOWC)! Special Olympics continues to be the leading voice for athletes with intellectual disabilities, and for the last 10 years, we have proudly hosted this event. Shining a spotlight on the good work SOWC does for our community goes back to the heart of our mission, which is creating a place where our people and our communities can thrive.
We are honored to put our time, talent, and financial resources to the service of our community. We work here, we live here, and our goal is to make a meaningful contribution to the people and the communities around us.
And with SOWC’s mission statement, naturally, we’ve happily partnered with them for the past decade!
“The mission of Special Olympics is to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.”
