James 2:17 is blunt: faith without works is dead. So let’s raise kids who do something with what they believe. Ask them at dinner, “Who can we help this week?” Let them come up with the idea. Maybe it’s raking an elderly neighbor’s yard, giving up a favorite toy for a child who has nothing, or looking a sibling in the eye and saying sorry and meaning it. A child who learns to serve others grows into an adult who reflects Christ to a world desperately in need of His love. What gets practiced at home gets lived out in the world.
