Fall 2026 heralds the arrival of an endearing new world of inspirational and educational books for children as the “God’s Little Sprouts” book series launches with the introduction of a trio of little characters that prove God can bring His message through the humblest of His creation.
The first three arrivals in the world of “Sprouts” from creator Joseph Ciavardone are: Abigail (the acorn who searches for her purpose but despairs on her journey to become a mighty oak tree), Giovanni, (the grape who doesn’t want to be “just one of the bunch”), and Bella, (the caterpillar destined to bring joy and light into the world upon becoming Bellisima, the butterfly). Each has a story of God’s purpose and goodness in their life, and each has the inclusion of a “life lesson” that will encourage both children and adults.
Subjects such as purpose, identity, seeking God’s will, depression, rebellion, forgiveness, the reality of God’s love, and the transformative power of prayer are brought to life through the journeys of the “sprouts.” The goal of equipping kids to face and overcome the challenges of the world around them by building a meaningful relationship with God is evident throughout the pages of all three books.
Titles in the series include:
Who Is Abigail? An Acorn’s Journey
But I Don’t Want To Be A Grape!
Just Smile, and Say Hello!
Each book contains scripture and a content-rich back section of “Author’s Notes” that serve to add value and context to the characters and the development of their ministry value. It’s a bonus that will be of particular interest to adults hoping to use the books as a spiritual resource for their children. Bright and engaging color illustrations created by the author populate the cover and pages of each book. The author’s vision for the series: “A world where every child knows the security of God’s love, and bases their identity, purpose and value in Him.” Towards that end, more books are soon coming in the “God’s Little Sprouts” series.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
The birth of “God’s Little Sprouts,” came in the midst of a time of great personal crisis in the life of first-time author and illustrator, Joseph Ciavardone An engineering professional for nearly three decades, Joseph obeyed God’s call to leave his career. He stepped out in faith and was led to concentrate on books that held spiritual value for children. He is excited to offer the first three books in the series — Who Is Abigail? An Acorn’s Journey, But I Don’t Want To Be A Grape!, and Just Smile, And Say Hello!. With the Word of God as his compass, Joseph uses personal experiences and hard-learned lessons in his walk with the Lord Jesus to serve as a witness to the goodness of God in his own life and bring messages of hope and encouragement to others.
