As we celebrate the 250th anniversary of our nation, take a few moments to reflect on how richly God has blessed the United States of America since our Founding Fathers declared independence from England.

Countless sacrifices have been made—and continue to be made—by brave men and women to ensure that our nation remains free, that we can openly worship God, that our democracy endures, and that America continues to stand as the greatest nation on earth.

While our country faces challenges, division, and disagreement on many fronts, the United States remains among the freest and most admired nations in the world.

At the same time, let us thank God for the far greater gift of eternal freedom—the forgiveness of our sins and the promise of everlasting life through the ultimate sacrifice of His Son, Jesus Christ, and His death and resurrection.

Take a few minutes to talk with your children about the freedoms and liberties we are blessed to enjoy as Americans. Emphasize the importance of religious freedom and the right of every citizen to openly worship God—principles that have long served as a cornerstone of our nation.

Given current events in our country and around the world, we should never take for granted the liberties and religious freedoms we have enjoyed for generations. These blessings must be cherished, protected, and passed on to future generations.

We are one nation under God. May He, in His mercy and grace, continue to bless America.
