Darrell Waltrip Subaru is excited to invite you to Recovery Fest Hickman on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the legendary Hideaway Farm in Bon Aqua, Tennessee—once beloved by Johnny Cash as the “center of my universe.” This one-of-a-kind festival will bring together families, friends, and neighbors for a full day of hope, healing, and celebration, and we are proud to stand alongside Hope in Recovery and the Booker D. Foundation as a presenting sponsor. From morning until evening, you’ll find something for everyone to enjoy, and Darrell Waltrip Subaru will be there to support the event the entire time.
One of the most meaningful highlights of the day will be the Monarch Butterfly Release ceremony at 10:30 AM, hosted by Darrell Waltrip Subaru. As hundreds of butterflies take flight, they will represent both remembrance of loved ones and the hope that recovery brings. It will be a moving and unforgettable moment, and we are honored to share in it with the community. But the butterfly release is just the beginning of what promises to be a packed schedule of fun and inspiration.
For those who love the outdoors, lace up your shoes for the Live Love Run 5K Trail Run and 1-Mile Walk, winding directly through the rolling fields of Johnny Cash’s historic ranch. It’s a rare opportunity to run or walk in such a meaningful and scenic location while supporting suicide awareness and recovery efforts. Afterward, stay and enjoy live music from inspiring artists, hear stories from speakers who have walked the road of recovery, and connect with organizations making a difference right here in Tennessee.
Families will find plenty to enjoy in the Family Fun Zone, where kids can bounce, play, and laugh in the bouncy houses, take a pony ride, and enjoy interactive activities designed to bring joy to all ages. Local food trucks and vendors will be on-site throughout the day, offering delicious options and unique items to explore. Whether you come to run, to listen, to eat, or to simply gather with friends, Recovery Fest Hickman will be an event to remember.
