Some days amidst the isolation, the Legos strew over the floor, and the mound of dirty laundry, we moms wonder if anyone notices. Notices you that is. If that is you, below are some scriptures to affirm your role as mom. Recite one a day for the next 31 days to remind yourself that you are seen and loved. 

  1. Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God. 2 Corinthians 3:5
  2. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. Luke 12:7
  3. But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint. Isaiah 40:31
  4. If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. James 1:5
  5. You are strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience. Colossians 1:11
  6. When I am afraid, I will trust in You. Psalm 56:3
  7. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord. Psalm 27:14
  8. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13
  9. The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Deuteronomy 31:8
  10. I can do everything through him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13
  11. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest, if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9
  12. He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore, I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 2 Corinthians 12:9
  13. Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6
  14. We live by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7
  15. Do not be anxious about anything but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7
  16. For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, of love and of self-discipline. 2 Timothy 1:7
  17. I have chosen you and not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:9-10
  18. As soon as you began to pray, an answer was given, which I have come to tell you, for you are highly esteemed. Daniel 9:23 
  19. She gave this name to the Lord who spoke to her: “You are the God who sees me,” for she said, “I have now seen the One who sees me.” Genesis 16:13 
  20. She is clothed with strength and dignity. Proverbs 31:25
  21. Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27
  22. Therefore, put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Ephesians 6:13
  23. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:10
  24. Sons are a heritage from the Lord, children a reward from him. Psalms 127:3
  25. The joy of the Lord is your strength. Nehemiah 8:10
  26. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. Philippians 4:12
  27. Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28
  28. This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us. 1 John 5:14
  29. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:16
  30. “Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,” says the Lord, who has compassion on you. Isaiah 54:10
  31. We love because he first loved us. 1 John 4:19
