Luke 2:  10 – 12

Then the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. 11 For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. 12 And this will be the sign to you: You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a [d]manger.” NKJV

The angel’s message from the Lord announced that the world would be forever changed by the birth of the promised Messiah!

The Christmas season is here—a truly magical and joyful time. It’s a season for gathering with family and friends, decorating the tree, serving those in need, exchanging meaningful gifts, attending festive parties, and savoring special holiday treats and meals.

But by the time Christmas Day arrives, many of us feel overwhelmed by the whirlwind of activities. Instead of experiencing the joy of the season, we can end up stressed, exhausted, overspent, and eager for it all to be over. Yet that’s not what this season should be for Believers.

Christmas offers a beautiful opportunity to refocus our hearts and minds—to “be still and know that He is God.” Make time for yourself and your family to embrace the true joy of the season. Gather your loved ones and read the Christmas story from Scripture. Celebrate the true meaning of Christmas: the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

From all of us at Nashville Christian Family, we wish you and your family a blessed, peaceful, and joy-filled Christmas, and a very Happy New Year!
