January 17th , our team had the opportunity to serve our community by helping provide warmth, comfort, and support to families in need. In partnership with Graceworks, Subaru Loves to Help, and Operation Warm, Darrell Waltrip Subaru joined Graceworks’ Mobile Food Pantry at Fairview Middle School for a morning dedicated to giving back.
As families arrived to receive groceries for their households, our team was on-site from 7:00 a.m. until approximately 10:00 a.m., handing out coats to families as they waited in line. Families were invited to choose from a wide selection of brand-new winter coats, ensuring that children and adults alike could find a coat that fit their needs and personal style. Seeing families pick out coats and leave with a little extra warmth, both physically and emotionally, was a powerful reminder of the impact that community partnerships can have. We continued distributing coats until the line came to an end, making sure as many families as possible were served that morning. This event was a meaningful example of what can be accomplished when organizations come together with a shared goal of supporting our neighbors.
We are grateful to Graceworks for hosting the Mobile Food Pantry, to Subaru Loves to Help and Operation Warm for making these resources available, and to everyone involved for helping us make a positive difference in our community.”
