Thirteen years ago, I started Good Stuff Cacao, back when we lived in Michigan, because even though my health was deteriorating, I still loved chocolate. I was learning to read labels and discovered chocolate was filled with needless ingredients like soy. Then I discovered CACAO. It’s where all chocolate starts. The difference? Cacao is raw, minimally processed and has 300 nutrients. God put those nutrients in the cacao bean for us to enjoy, for both taste and our health. Chocolate? Not so much. Usually, it’s high heat processed, with added fillers like milk, sugar, soy, and gluten, to stretch the “chocolate”, all for greed and gain, it’s certainly not for our benefit.
I wanted a good tasting chocolate that satisfied my sweet tooth. I started researching, using only the purest ingredients. I played with countless recipes and finally realized that keeping it simple was the very thing that kept what God designed- keeping it pure- not only satisfied my sweet tooth, it can heal and protect my body. I had to share it, and Good Stuff Cacao was born.
At Good Stuff Cacao we work hard to keep cacao raw and maintain all the nutrition that God supplies. It is rich and bitter, so we sweeten it with another of God’s miracles-raw honey. Yep, just 2 ingredients: raw cacao and raw honey go into our original recipe. Then we add other raw, nutrient dense ingredients to our original recipe for variety like pumpkin seeds, goji berries, coconut or peppermint.
God provides for us in His nature natural foods that not only tastes good, but prevents disease, helps us detox the poisons in our environment and counter-act the bad choices we have made.
My journey over thirteen years wasn’t just growing a business based on an organic product, it was a spiritual journey. Jesus healed the sick and often said, “go sin no more”. Our illnesses are far deeper than being sick. God is truth. God provides. God is gracious. God is good.
Seven years ago, my husband and I threw away our snow shovel and moved the whole production here to Tennessee. We love the mountains and the weather. Good Stuff Cacao continues to grow online, but we offer wholesale to stores in over 10 states. We are always looking for Representative to help us get into more locations and areas, please contact us if you are interested.
