My wife and I have always loved September. It’s one of our favorite months because it signals that fall—the season we cherish most—is just around the corner. With the kids back in school and Labor Day marking the close of summer, life seems to take on a new rhythm.

The days grow shorter, flocks of geese honk their way south, and football season kicks off, stirring a sense of anticipation. You can almost feel autumn in the air, and I find myself energized as we look forward to the vibrant transformation of the leaves that will soon unfold.

In the midst of the chaos and disorder we see in our country and around the world, the steady rhythm of the seasons stands as a reminder of God’s power and sovereignty. His handiwork in creation reflects order, beauty, and majesty—unchanging truths in a world that often feels uncertain.

Yet it’s all too easy to overlook the wonder of His creation. Over the next few weeks, I encourage you and your family to pause, slow down, and intentionally take in the beauty around you. Watch the trees change, breathe in the crisp air, and give thanks to the Creator who designed it all.

As a biblical reminder, spend some time reflecting on Psalm 104 and Genesis 1. Both passages lift our eyes to the One who not only spoke creation into being but also sustains it with His enduring power.

And, consider God’s crowning creation, man –  Psalm 139:  13-14 “You formed my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
