If you’ve heard of Murfreesboro, TN, then you know it’s a city that still has its’ small-town charm. It’s a close-knit community about 30 miles south of Nashville, and yes, we all say we’re from Nashville, because let’s face it, it’s just easier that way. In 2020, we were one of the fastest growing cities in Tennessee and in the Nation! According to WGNS Radio, as of 2024, Murfreesboro was ranked #16 of the fastest growing cities in the Nation.
However, did you know Murfreesboro is more than just its small-town charm, great location (right in the center of the state, by the way), and its growth. Murfreesboro has an amazing Christian Community. We not only have an abundance of churches of different denominations, but our churches are actively involved in our community and that is extremely special.
The Experience Community Church for example. That church is on fire for the Lord. They offer Worship Nights two times a year for anyone to come and worship Jesus our Lord and Savior for FREE! The next Worship night is September 4th & 5th, 2025 at Tennessee Miller Coliseum. Visit their Facebook Page to sign up for your tickets (free of course). As a Church they also have Community Day where they go out into the community and help people with yardwork, they have their Bar Ministry that offers water and hot dogs to those on the Square leaving the bars on Friday nights, they have a Jail Ministry that leads current and former inmates to Jesus, the list goes on and on.
There is also World Outreach Church who offers amazing church services outside during the Spring/Summer Fall months when they offer a FREE concert series with worship being led by the guest artist at the Spring Festival & Easter Celebration and Fall Festival with an array of food trucks, activities, and community(?). This year they are having the 2nd Culture & Christianity Conference on September 19th & 20th, 2025, head over to their website to purchase your tickets!
Those are just a couple churches that offer wonderful events in the Murfreesboro Community. There are also several Christian based nonprofits that do extraordinary things throughout the community Rutherford County to benefit community members such as: Green House Ministries, Special Kids, Possibility Place, Branches Counseling Center, and Portico.
Now that you know a little bit about our big community, we hope that if you are looking to expand or open a new business, you will consider Murfreesboro.
