Season Three of the Hit Docuseries Spotlights Faith, Family, and Friday Night Lights at Evangel Christian Academy

FOX Nation has renewed its hit series  “God. Family. Football.” for two more seasons, announced Gavin Hadden, senior vice president of the platform. Season three will premiere on Thursday, August 7, with eight new episodes airing weekly and season four will follow come fall 2026.

“God. Family. Football.” follows legendary coach and pastor Denny Duron as he continues his mission to rebuild the storied football program at Evangel Christian Academy in Shreveport, Louisiana. With high expectations and higher emotional stakes, this season follows an underdog team of young athletes led by rising stars both on the field and in life.

In making the announcement, Hadden said, “This series continues to resonate with our subscribers because it is about more than just the final score of the game. It pulls back the emotional layers and tells the stories that are unfolding between the locker room and home.”

Duron added, “God. Family. Football. is a way of life! As the head coach of the Evangel Eagles my goal every single day is to instill faith in the heart of each player and that putting God first and family second releases us to be champions, regardless of the final score.”

In the upcoming season, viewers will get an inside look at a team shaped by adversity, mentorship, and faith — all told through the lens of Coach Duron, whose dual role as spiritual shepherd and head coach remains the emotional core of the series.

This season introduces Peyton “Pop” Houston, the #1-ranked quarterback in the class of 2027, who makes national headlines by breaking a decades-old high school passing record. Alongside him is Damari “DayDay” Drake, a standout player whose emotional arc anchors the season, including a powerful reunion with his father after years of incarceration. The season also features beloved assistant coach Fabian Carter, whose humor, and heart continue to bring discipline and depth to the Eagles’ locker room.

The series was created by Aaron Benward and is produced by Watershed Motion Pictures. Executive producers include Benward, Jared Goetz, Matt Woolsey, Cody Bess, Scott Brignac, and Cliff Young.
