Hearing God's Voice In a Noisy World | Nashville Christian Family Magazine - June 2025

“Now to Him who is able to do immeasuray more than all we ask or imagine, according to His power that is at work within us.” Ephesians 3:20 (NIV)

There will always be two voices competing for control of your mind and heart… the voice of doubt and the voice of faith. The voice of doubt is loud, relentless, and intrusive. It tells you you’re not going to make it. It wakes you up in the middle of the night whispering defeat: “That financial drought is permanent. That relationship can’t be restored. You’ll never get ahead.”

But if you’ll get still… if you’ll silence the noise and lean into the Spirit… there’s another voice. A still small voice. The voice of your Father. And He’s saying: “This too shall pass. I’m fighting this battle. Help is on the way. Breakthrough is closer than you think.”

The question is: which voice will you believe?

Faith doesn’t end your challenges; it simply refuses to give them the final word. Doubt magnifies the problem. Faith magnifies the power of God. Paul didn’t say, “I think God might help.” He said, “I will never doubt what God can do.” When we shift our focus from our limited strength to God’s unlimited power, heaven moves on our behalf.

God isn’t looking for perfect people…. He’s looking for believers. For warriors who will say, “God, I may not have the answer, but I trust that You do. I may not see the way, but I believe You’re making one.”

So when doubt knocks, don’t answer. When fear screams, let faith whisper louder. Feed the voice that says, “God is able.” Because He is.

Prayer For Today:

Father, today I choose to silence the voice of doubt and lean into Your voice of truth. Help me to stay anchored in faith even when fear tries to take the wheel. I know You are able to do far more than I could ever ask, dream, or imagine. Remind me that Your power is at work within me, and that nothing can stop what You’ve ordained for my life. I surrender control and place my trust fully in You. Let Your still small voice lead me, strengthen me, and remind me that You are always fighting for me. In Jesus’ name, amen.

May God Bless you abundantly!
